HEALTH TALK AT THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST, JAMES MCKEOWN TEMPLE

On the 26th of May, 2024. A team comprising of 2 Nurses, 1 Occupational Therapist and 1 IT personnel, engaged the Pastors and members of the Church of Pentecost, James Mckeown Temple, located at Libya Quarters, Madina. The talk started at 7:30am and lasted for 30 minutes. Akua started the talk with an overview of “The Purple Month” and activities lined up in the celebration by Mental Health Authority and Pantang Hospital, followed by Irene talking about “Stress and Stress Management and Mildred ended with Depression and Suicide. The talk took a discussion form and the audience had the opportunity to ask questions which were answered appropriately.

The total Audience were 128, comprising 38 males, 50 females and 40 children.

The leadership of the church expressed appreciation for the talk, even though the time allocated was short and informed the team that they will plan to schedule another time for the team to engage the members at the District Congress, smaller groups in the church and the entire congregation.

The team engaged in picture taking sessions with some church members.
